My brother tried to control me, he did not want me as his heir.
He wanted to control my marriage, but I have my own free will.
I will unite my country, and fight as my duty bids me too.
I am, the woman who united Spain,
Isabella of Castile
Isabella of Castile (1451-1504)
was the queen of Castile after her half brothers death, and despite her brother arranging her to marry many potential allies she married her second cousin Ferdinand of Aragon in secret. She is the mother of Catherine of Aragon (wife one of Henry VIII), and Grandmother to Charles I (HRE) and Mary (England), and great grandmother to Philip II (Spain). She was queen in her own right and was on of the great European Queens.
